Dr Ka-Kiu (KK) Cheung

Dr KK Cheung is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over two decades of caring for families across all stages of life. She has a particular passion for pregnancy care, paediatrics—including developmental assessments—and breastfeeding support.

Currently, Dr KK serves as a GP with Special Interest at Gold Coast University Hospital, focusing on obstetrics and developmental paediatrics. She brings extensive experience in breastfeeding medicine and managing unsettled infants, having worked for several years at the Mater Mothers’ Parenting Support Centre.

She holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and plays an active leadership role in her field. Dr KK is the national Chair of the RACGP Specific Interest Group for Antenatal and Postnatal Care and represents GPs within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Dr KK is Australian-born and trained, and is a proud mother of three young children. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her deep commitment to women’s, children’s, and preventative healthcare. She also has experience working in breast cancer screening clinics and is currently focused on supporting children with developmental and behavioural challenges.

Since 2011, Dr KK has been a valued member of the Broadbeach Medical Centre team. Outside of work, she enjoys running and swimming at the beach with her family.
